Eklavya Vidyalaya Sangathan Samiti, Uttarakhand is a registered society functioning under the aegis of the Social Welfare Department, Government of Uttarakhand. It is entrusted with the management and administration of Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) across the state. The Samiti plays a pivotal role in implementing the vision of providing quality residential education to Scheduled Tribe (ST) students, particularly those belonging to remote and underserved tribal regions.
The Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS) scheme, launched by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, aims to ensure the holistic development of tribal children by providing access to free, high-quality education, along with boarding, lodging, uniforms, books, and other essential facilities.
